Eleven Stores Pay Fines for Price-Scanning Errors

RALEIGH - The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Standards Division has collected fines from stores in Aberdeen, Lillington, New Bern, Pembroke, Polkton, Raleigh, Selma, Wilmington and Wilson for excessive price-scanning errors.

Many many thanks to all the community volunteers who participated in any way during the 5^th Annual Community Thanksgiving Feast on Harnett Street. So many folks were blessed with the great food and personal visits by those who made deliveries. People helping one another and churches working together to serve in the name of Christ make our community a very special place to live.

Benson Community of Faith and an Extreme Home Make Over

This past Friday the Benson Community of Faith got together and held a "Mission Trip" in Benson. They selected the Harnett/Ryals Street area of Benson to support a clean up effort which included an Extreme Home Makeover.

There has been enough information and misinformation in the media, commercials, and social networks to confuse most of the general public. The majority of people need the separation of fact and fiction that has been twisted depending on the agenda.

Keep Benson Beautiful 2012

BENSON, NC: The Town of Benson held its 2^nd annual Keep Benson Beautiful clean-up event on Saturday April 28, 2012. A total of 161 volunteers worked alongside 40 town employees to beautify Benson, completing a total of 804 hours of work.

Law Enforcement performs tracking training

Last week you may have noticed camouflaged personnel around the area. It has been tracking training from a class by Johnston Community College sponsored by the Benson Police Department. Individuals from the U.S. Army, N.C.ALE, the State Park, Benson, Cary, Garner, Kenly, and Raleigh Police Departments were in attendance.
